This gallery features performance images of Hong Kong-born dancer Muna Tseng taken by her brother, Tseng Kwong Chi. Tseng, who moved to Vancouver as a child, is renowned for her modern dance contributions and abilities. After receiving training in modern dance in Canada, Tseng moved to New York in 1978, where she founded Muna Tseng Dance Projects shortly after in 1984. Tseng reached international acclaim as a principal dancer for Jean Erdman’s Theater of the Open Eye. Tseng danced to music by composers such as John Cage, Lou Harrison, Teiji Ito, as well as work by Joseph Campbell.
