Helen Oji’s Peacefish-Set Design Study #2 draws inspiration from her Japanese heritage. The red kimono constructions acted as both prop and set, used as a landscape and sensual object. In addition to creating the set design studies and final set design for Peacefish, Oji appeared in the play performances held at the Basement Workshop.Along with her involvement with the Basement Workshop, Oji was a founding member of Godzilla: Asian American Art Network.
