Compulsive Hoarding (2022)
Digital Print
16” x 20”
Finding a sense of comfort in collecting, finding sentimental value in what many would consider “refuse”. Jane's subconscious attachment to these items—which includes a broken mannequin, an assortment of colorful receipts, and mountains of candy packaging—was constantly weighing her down, both physically and mentally. Thus, Jane repurposes the hoard in her room, creating this fashion artwork and liberating myself, and simultaneously creating commentary on compulsive hoarding.
