Isabella Marques
Blister (2022)
Varied size between 9” x 15”
Ceramics (glazed earthenware)
Blister consists of multiple ceramic cylinders which have been repetitively and obsessively marked to create rough and prominent textures. The initial scars made on the material are now lost amongst the thousands of marks made over them, creating a new and unique pattern. The repetitiveness and aggressiveness of the marks allow for the self to get lost within the material, delving into untapped memories and emotions.
