Cluvens
Founded in 2014, Cluvens is a Zhejiang, China-based furniture manufacturer focused on ergonomic design for digital and gaming workstations. Incorporating zero-gravity research into their designs, Cluvens reimagines traditional office furniture by integrating advanced technologies into new speculative and narrative forms. Their workstations prioritize adaptability and user experience with digitally mediated contexts, involving keyboard, speaker, and screen interfaces.

The SK Scorpion King, designed by company founder Jianze Zhou, exemplifies this approach. Inspired by the anatomy of a scorpion, the chair integrates an automated tail boom, articulated legs, and a flexible backrest within a welded high-carbon steel chassis. Composed of thousands of precision-engineered parts, the chair dramatizes the relationship between the human body and machine. Its biomimetic form draws from sci-fi aesthetics and gaming culture, invoking themes of posthuman embodiment and the merging of virtual and physical domains.
