Yi Shi

Yi Shi (b. 2003, Nanyang, China) is a photographer based in New York. He works primarily with medium-format film and medium-format digital cameras. His work investigates the ideological structures embedded in landscapes and architecture, drawing from critical theory and continental philosophy.

Artwork in the Artist's Words: This project is based on the visual transformations of chemical processes, investigating the changes in several polluted canal areas in New York, and presenting their characteristics through visual means.
