The sonic worlds we inhabit reveal societal values and offer insights into the health of our planet. Each sound tells a story. This collection of sounds reveals an interconnected, changing world. The installation includes 24 channels of audio, each with independent volume control, enabling visitors to create their own mixes. What do we want our world to sound like? What sounds are getting lost in the mix? How can we strike a balance?

The sounds included in the installation were selected based on bioacoustics and climate research. The field recordings were created by Kinokophone as well as contributing artists from different countries. Learn more about each recording and the artists behind them on the project webpage.
