When I created the 'zine, I wanted to mix in some submissions from strangers. As such, I hit Upwork. Rebecca, a Copywriter from Long Island, was one of the first people to apply for the gig. Although I don't know her personally, I felt kindred to her after reading the responses. I grew up in the Philadelphia/South Jersey area, and my family shopped at Shoprite - Rebecca's chosen grocery store. We have the same bagel order - an everything bagel with veggie cream cheese. We're also the same age and have the same profession - seemingly living parallel lives.
