I was thrilled for Kate's submission, because not only do I not know her, she's from Wilmington, North Carolina. Wilmington has a special place in my heart; I own a house there, lived there for years, and have every intention of returning someday. There's also an incredible food scene. From James Beard-nominated restaurants to local watering holes, Wilmington has something for everyone. Kate's responses were a great example of everything this coastal region of North Carolina has to offer.
