Far far away, to America

In this video, Ivan uses a number of multimodal resources to establish his mother's attention: looking at her, vocalizing, waving of hands, and bouncing in chair. Once he catches Anastasia's attention, he looks back at his chair - which is Ivan's conventional request for moving the chair closer to the desk. Ivan also uses the established attention framework to draw his mother's attention to the fact that the video-recording is happening at the moment. He eye-points twice at the camera and then looks up. "Look-up" in the family's vocabulary may stand for a number of referents, including NEIGHBORS, FLY, A LOT, BIG, HIGHER, and MORE. Anastasia co-constructs Ivan's contributions as "Yes, we are recording a little bit for Sasha. Yes, far far away, to America we send," which Ivan accepts smiling.
